The World Doesn’t End (Yet) Following This Year’s Blood MoonWise Blog Team
The Wise Company, a leading provider of food and emergency readiness kits, is pleased to confirm that the world did not end following the recent appearance of a “Blood Moon.”
The blood moon, most recently seen on September 27-28, 2015, is a rare astrological event that occurs only when the earth, sun, and moon align, with the earth passing between the sun and the moon. This allows the moon to pass through Earth’s shadow, casting a red hue onto the moon. The next full lunar eclipse “Blood Moon” will not occur until January 31, 2018.
So, what’s the hype all about? Four consecutive blood moons together, an event called a lunar tetrad, has long been thought to predict disasters. The most recent tetrad of blood moons has aligned with a Jewish feast holiday, an occurrence so rare that it’s only happened six times in the last 2,000 years!
Here’s what’s happened over the last several lunar tetrads:
- 162 AD- Antonine Plague
- 795 AD- Western Europe secured from Arabia
- 842 AD- Arab invasion of Rome
- 860 AD- Siege of Constantinople
- 1943 AD- Western hemisphere open to Europe
- 1949 AD- Birth of modern Israel
- 1967 AD- Israeli six-day war
On top of that, others believe the economic crisis happen in sync with a Jewish seven-year cycle. Check out this recent history:
- 1973- Oil Crisis
- 1980- Recession
- 1987-Stock market crash
- 1994- Bond market crash
- 2001- September 11 terrorist attacks and stock market crash
- 2008- Stock market crash
What does this mean? It means if you buy into apocalypse theory it’s time to stock up and prepare to bunker down. Even if you don’t buy into the superstition, it’s a great idea to invest in a disaster preparedness plan and safeguard your family’s health in the event of a disaster not predicted by the moons.
